1996 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 149000 miles
4 wheel auto and low lights blink when I switch to 4 wheel drive. Transmission fluid leaks from somewhere, front suspension squeaks - u joints look like archeology and as well as all other parts. Still all original manufacturer parts. I recently just bought it from a used dealer but, the truck is in mint mint condition engine runs strong, no check lights come on except the 4 wheel drive, when I accelerate speed revs then shifts or slips into speed and also sounds rough, where the cv shaft goes into the axle there is grease or gear fluid my vaccum disconnect module is also located at that point cant distinguish if its coming from there or the oil seal where the cv shaft and axle meet, seal leaks where the yoke and drive train connect. Would like to know if transfercase or differiential could be the cause?
