Transmission problem
1995 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

we changed the transmission fluid in the truck and when we took the transmission pan off there were 3 parts laying in the pan that we dont know the names of or what they belong to. Can not find any diagrams to look at, hopefully you will know what they are.

The two parts on the left are the struts that actuate the bands. The one on the right looks like a balance weight from a wheel.

Was the transmission worked on at some time?

Does the transmission work?

In that case, those parts are extras, and may be discarded. They are duplication of parts that are inside the transmission, and if there were none in place, you would NOT be driving the truck!

I had the same thing with my Explorer. Your band is broken inside of your transmission. Fixed mines myself. Transmission Shop's Try to get me for $1,800. They said my gears was shot. What a bunch of crooks. Ha Haaa.
