I have a Ford Escort 98 ZX2 dr coupe " Hot". The engine is 2.0L DOHC 16V Zetec Engine and automatic transaxle. I am experience rough idle when AC is on, and especially when I am braking with the AC on. Occasionlly when I am coasting the idle is rough for a second, but more prominent when ac is on. I recently replaced MAF sensor, O2 sensor, serpentine belt and new tension bar, alternator, and had the transmission rebuit and new fuel pump. As you can see I have invested too much in this car already. I seen articles that it might be the idle air control valve. If anybody thinks this is the problem can you please direct me in the right direction, and if I can do it my self. Can please give me some simple directions on how to clean idle air control valve. Also I notice my rpms going up slightly when I am breaking with AC on. By the way thanks for taking the time for reading this question.
