I have a ford escort estate 1.6 16v zetac engine 1997 with 120000 miles on the clock. I drove through a flooded road today and the engine stalled. I pushed the car out but it wont start the battery is good but when I turn the ignition keys it just clicks and wont turn over. I think some water may have got in through the air inlet and mixed with the fuel. Is this difficult to repair how long would it take a trained mechanic and what is going to cost roughly.
have the same problem?
