I have a bad alternator and cannot determine which alternator I need. The Escort either has a 95 Amp or a 75 Amps alternator but I cannot figure out which is in my car. There are no markings on the alternator that is in the car. How do I find out this information so I can buy the correct replacement?

Sedan (4 door) OEM was 75 amp, ZX2 (2 door) OEM was 95 amp. You really only need to worry about what model type you have as the sedan and ZX2 alternators use different mountings

4 door sedan got two bolt holes, 2 door ZX2 got three bolt holes ( I think). Some LX/sport sedan model with power windows/seat have 95 Amp. If you can get the 95 Amp for your car, the better. Just check the correct mounting bolts
