Engine code show I need to replace the coil on the number 3 cylinder in my Escape. I do not know the firing order on this engine. Where can I go to find this out?

Cylinder numbers are 1-2-3 on RH bank and 4-5-6 on LH bank. Left bank faces front of vehicle.

Firing Order 1-4-2-5-3-6

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers

Which cylinder is number four? Engine is transversely mounted. I have seen several websites but not a true layout. I know Fords are numbered front to back, passenger side first, but am confused because the engine mounted sideways.

Hope this helps you.

Cylinder numbering, facing your car, from left to right.

Rear bank 1-2-3
front bank 4-5-6

and your firing order is

1-4-2-5-3-6
