Where is the turn signal flasher located on a 2001 e-250 ford van? The turn signals and the emergency flashers will flash once or twice and then stop.

It is kind of tucked up and out of the way on the drivers side dash, here is a diagram to help find it.

The electronic flasher is located behind left side of dash. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

When you drop the turn signal all the way down the flasher is very fast and does not work, if you hold it down to the first detent it will work ok, but this is harder to do in a turn, etc. The bulbs have been replaced and the right side works fine.

The turn signal switch is most likely faulty. They have a lot of plastic parts and sometimes they break and will not stay in the detent area on its own. You'll have to replace the switch to correct the problem.
