1994 Ford E-Series Van V8 Two Wheel Drive 128000 miles
This van dint have any electrical problems ever.
one day I went to start it and it was completely dead.
I had been siting for some time, and my kids go in it and leave lights on so I figured dead batt.
I hooked up the jumper cables and it seemed funny.
It wanted to stay sparking slightly while charging.
I waited 5 Mins. And tried to start the van.
It had no power at all.
I removed the batt. Cables and Isolated a hard short on the positive side to the teminal block wires, two that run to the main fuse panel next to the batt. And one fuse link that run who knows where. There is no short on the cable to the starter, or the one that feeds the terminal block.
Is it possible that the jumper cables hooked up in reverse polarity caused this short? I dont believe that I did that, but at this point Im reaching.
No fuses blown, Could it be the ignition switch shorted out, it is broken and worn out but works.
What can possibly be done to fix this.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
