My car will not shut off by the ignition switch. I have replaced the switch and a plug harness under the dash board.

Hi d_crim,

Symptoms indicates power is not being cut off when the ignition switch is turned off. Check the PCM power relay ( located in relay center at left side of engine compartment, inside item # 10) to see if it is sticking resulting in power not cutting off.

Unplug relay to see if engine cuts off.

It sounds like the ignition switch is having a problem and not disconnecting the voltage to the system. To confirm the problem here is a guide and some wiring diagrams for the ignition switch to confirm the problem.

Please run this test and get back to us so we can keep helping you.
