Overdrive Light Flashes

Wanting to know if I need to replace the transmission or have it rebuilt. It shifts hard and the Overdrive Light flashes. Would it be something simple or not?

Here is the information you requested. It could be something simple and not necessarily mean a complete transmission rebuild. I would perform a CAN- Controller Area Network scan to check all the systems on your car. This scan includes any transmission codes that might be present.
