Battery was installed with incorrect polarity-fuse link melted. Replaced fuse link and alternator- car started and ran for a couple minutes-died and will not restart- it appears to wear done the battery immediately. Car would run on battery power before fuse link replaced.
What else could have been damaged?

Everything could've been damaged.

Who connected your battery backwards? If it was a shop, then you need to make them buy you a new car. If you did that yourself, then there's not much you can do but take the car into a shop.

Your fusable link only protects the ignition system and its module. So the only way to see what's been damaged is to check everything else that's electric, one at a time.
