1998 Ford Contour 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 195000 miles
If you give me an address I will gladly forward the money to that address vis Bank draft. After the Engine temperature in in the Mid normal or higher range, and at speeds 30 km or higher even at 120 km; whether crusing, speeding up, drining in "o.D;D;or 2, the transmission will so called buck or thud similar to placing the car from neural into Drive at a high engine rpm. This will last only a split second and continue every 2 or more seconds; for a distance of 1, 2, or more miles and sometimes only for a few minutes; then run as smooth as a new car sometime for only a few miles, other times for 30 or more miles and for no reason whatsoever will once again start bucking. Also while it is causing this problem and you stamp the Gas pedal to the floor, lets say at 50 km, the engine will not acceleratre nor the car increase in speed; when you take your foot off the gas; as it decellerates, you will feel and hear a thud and the car will accellerate again. This problem has been going on for about a month. I have had two diagnostics test done and no problem has been detected. I have gone to ford dealers and they are only guessing and tell me so. I have gone to tarnsmission places, and ther tell mr it is the transmission; but when I ask them what the cause is they tell me they don't really know. Except that it will cost me 2800 dollars. HELP
have the same problem?
