ELECTRICAL SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING

My Honda Accord has begun to shut down while driving. There are no warning lights or dash guages (RPM, MPH) when the electrical goes out. Since the weather has warmed up this has resurfaced. I have replace the MAP sensor and have the ignition switch ready to go in. I am hoping this will fix the problem.
The situation I had today I had to drive 20 min. South of town and drop off my son. Numerous times the car shut down.
On the way back I tried something different. Slowing down at the stop lights and shifting to D3 helped greatly. When up to speed, I would shift in D4 and only had two times where it quit. It would take some time to restart it.
Can anyone explain this? Thank you very much
