On Friday evening my gas light came on and my DTE said I had 27 miles to empty. I was about 3 miles from my house. When I got home, I did not move the car again until Saturday morning, to move it from one parking space to the next. Saturday evening, I was getting ready to leave and the car would not crank. I ended up having to put some gas in the car and pump the accelerator while trying to crank the car to get it to start. It has cranked with no problem since putting the gas in it. On Sunday, I filled the car up. My DTE was reading at 488 miles. I drove maybe 20 miles from the time I got gas and now my DTE is reading 403. My gas needle is still on full. I know the car is full of gas, I am just wondering why the DTE is dropping so rapidly even though the gas needle is not moving.
