Driver's automatic window sticking, not operating smoothly

The driver side window, I rolled it partway down awhile ago, went to roll it up, heard the window motor trying to do it, but the window was stuck. I tried rolling it down a bit, then try to roll it up, so the window still moved but wouldn't just smoothly close. I ended up getting someone to hold the switch while I pushed up on either side of the window with both hands and managed to close it. I am afraid to use it in case it will not roll up again. But I hear window motor working.

i would really appreciate your thoughts on this problem. The a/c doesn't blow cold either so it gets pretty hot in that car, but I don't have any money right now to repair either problem.

Check window linkage for a bind or a broken cable.
