Engine keeps overheating?

Changed water pump, heater core, thermostat, how can I check to see if it has a blown head gasket, that is blowing compression back into the cooling systemand heater will not blow hot air

You need a leak down test in the cylinders to verify. from your description, it sounds like you have issues.

Does not smoke. Just did tune up, changed distributer, cap, wires, plugs, crank pos. Sensore, rough idle about 500 rpm.

Can you tow it to a shop? Most likely you have a blown head gasket especially when there is no heat.

My car overheats when idle for a while but returns to normal temperature when I am driving. The radiator, hoses, and thermostat were all changed within the past 3 weeks. The car went into the red about a month ago, which prompted me to change the thermostat. Then the radiator began to leak, so I changed it as well as the hoses.

Sounds like the radiator cooling fan isnt working does that come before or during the time its running hot at idle?

The fans work perfectly. I checked them this morning when the temp gauge began to rise.

So both upper and lower radiator hoses are getting really hot?When the fan comes on is there a lot of air being pulled thru the radiator?If you were to feel. With your hand iam talking?What is the actual temp the radiator fan is coming on at?

My dodge stratus 2001 is overheating recently. About a month ago it overheated for the first time and we realized it was completely out of coolant. We didn't find it odd seeing we hadn't replaced the coolant in years but in little less than a month it is completely out of coolant again and overheating once again. We have checked for leaks. The radiator also seems to not have any coolant in it at the moment so the coolant isn't circulating through the system. What is the problem?

Get the coolant system pressure tested to find the source of the leak, the coolant is going somewhere, If it is overheating and boiling the coolant out, check and test coolant fans, thermostat, and get a chemical test done to check for combustion gases in the coolant(head gasket/ head problem)

My car started overheating, smoke under hood. There was some antifreeze on the ground once the car was parked and shut off for a while even though the overflow container has plenty of antifreeze in it. Now the next day when we tried to start it, it makes a whirring sound. The belts are turning, so I think the motor didn't seize. Maybe it's not getting fuel? Could the starter have fried because of overheating?

Does the starter sound like it's spinning too fast? Also, how hot did it get (in the red zone of the gauge) and how long did you run it that way? Finally, can you tell aprox where the coolant was leaking from?
