Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 102000 miles

My oil warningindicator has remained on now for a few weeks[you know, the symbol of the oil can is lit up].
I checked the level of course and it is reading full. I asked friends and they said if the dip stick is registering full and the engine is not overheating, the OIL PUMP MAY BE GOING BAD and that I should have it replaced, spend a few hundred dollars rather than let the engine seize up on me.
Your advice?
BTW, I just spent a few thousand ;
