Dodge neon, 1998, 115,000 miles, good condition otherwise started power hick up about 3 weeks ago. I suspected spark plugs since I never changed it in 60,000 miles, the problem sort of go cured but started serious misfiring after a week. I got error code for 3 cylinder misfire. I checked my ignition coil and spark plugs (resistance), everything is within specs. My old spark plugs were in very good condition, all dry and clean. One of the spark plugs (no 4) did not tight up good. When I would screw it, it would become tight all of sudden. That cylinder is not a pending misfire. Also before I changed the spark plugs, the engine was doing hick ups but malfunction indicator never turned on. Now the MIL turn on. It goes off once in a while. I do not want to spend a whole lot of money on this car but I would like to know what is wrong with it.
have the same problem?
