I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES. My automatic windows don't work unless my drivers door is open. What could be the cause of this? And how can I fix it?

Maybe the wiring harness is flexing, when you open and shut the door. There is probably a protective rubber boot, that covers the wiring harness, going into the door, hinge side. Sometimes you can pull the rubber boot back a little, to test wires. Tan wire is voltage, check with key on. Black wire is ground. You might tug a little on those two wires, one might be broken? They flex everytime you open and close the door.
