Engine Performance problem
1999 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 132, 00 miles
Off and on for several months, the car has had issues with starting after its been running for a while. It starts every morning without any issues. And if it sits for at least an hour or more, it never has issues. However, if I've been running it down the highway or in city traffic and stop for anything more than just a few minutes, it is hard to start. The starter will turn just fine, I'll get ignition, then it'll begin to idle up past 1000rpm, then die. Then, for the next several minutes, I'll have to keep trying to start. It'll start and sputter, then die. It'll do this for 10 minutes, then it'll finally catch. If the rpms go above 500, I can usually get it going. But, it sputters tremendously until I can get it revving above 1500rpm. Then it runs just fine. I can literally go 2 months without any issues, then it'll start doing this again.
have the same problem?
