1999 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
I have a 1998 Dodge Intrepid, 2.7, 6 cyclinder. One day upon startup, I notice the battery light came on and the dash panel lights were dim. While idling at stop lights, the RPMs would fluctuate "up and down".
I was told to check the alternator by disconnecting the positive cable to the battery while the car is running. Since then, the car will not start.
I removed the alternator and had it tested at Autozone. The alternator tested good. I replaced the battery with a new one.
I was told to unlock the car using the factoy keyless remote. That didn't work.
I wondering if the security system is not letting the car start. Anything I can do to check this? Anything else I could try? Anything with the computer?
have the same problem?
