Engine Cooling problem
V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 225000 miles. I have a problem with it overheating. I know its not the thermostat, because I took it out. I also know its not the water pump, because its not leaking. It doesn't have a fan shroud on it. What could it be? The fan clutch?

First, if the t-stat is out, it may be allowing coolant to flow too fast and not giving it a chance to cool in the radiator, so I recommend getting one. Next, does the vehicle overheat in all conditions, for example, in town driving, highway? Also, there should be a fan shroud. THe fan needs it to draw air from out the front of the vehicle. Without it there, the air comes from everywhere.

Let me know.
