Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Dodge Dakota V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 197000 miles

when I start the vehicle, it runs fine in idel. When I shift into reverse or drive the idel drops and the engine dies. If I go into nuetral then I can gas it and it stays on. After it warms up it stops stalling. I found the map sensor vac line cracked and replaced it and it's faster to warm but i'm having the same problem. I don't get a check engine light at all. After it has started to die, then it will not idel in park until it gets warmed up

Hi: I feel there are more vacuum leaks. Have you checked the entire engien compartment?
