Truck starts then stalls. If fuel is pored into valve body for a time it will run by itself but, as soon as you turn the key off then on try to restart right away, same problem. We replaced the two injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter, idle control valve, and a full tune up, rotor an cap also. The engine light code blinks map sensor vacuum circuit but, there is plenty of vacuum there. Stalls

Scan for codes and try to get freeze frame data. check fuel pressure as it may not be enough. check map sensor if it has a hose for being pinched or soft it may be sucking together

This guide should help.

Electrical problem
1998 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Intermittant engine dying, some times at a stop, or when first start up it may idle a few seconds and die.I have noted with timing light light no spark. I changed coil and auto shut down relay This dose not happen all the time, it may be ok for a couple days then happen again. Usually after cranking a few times it will get ignition and go. When running I tried wiggling wires to see if engine will die, no luck. I have a Snap On Scanner but am not getting any codes.

With no codes, this may be tough to find. It may be a Crank Angle Sensor shorting out, that will cause the engine to lose spark and injector pulse. They dont always set codes, when they short out

I guess I didn't give you all the info -I had changed all the following---Cam sensor-crank sensor-map sensor-t.P.S.-I.A.C. After the car dies and you restart sometimes you can run rpm up to 3500 + - and it will still die.I think not mutch left but pcm. Heat doesn't seem to be a facter as it doesn't matter how long engine has run.

Sounds like you have pretty much covered everything but the PCM.I have seen some Dodges have problems with the ignition switch, but I havent seen any do what your truck is doing. Have you checked to see ifit still has fuel pressure when it dies, or is it just missing spark?

Hey so my Dakota keeps stalling out. No matter what you are doing you could be going around a corner and it shuts off. To idling in the driveway. The truck will sometimes not do it for 5-7 days and then randomly it wont start. I have replaced the Master Coil, Cat converter, H2 Sensor, and battery. What could be causing the problem? Btw its 188 KM/s Not miles

If the light comes on, take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Most stores will do it for free.

Let me know what you find.

It sounds frustrating. However, if the light is on, there is a good chance a trouble code will show when the computer is scanned. From that, I would be better able to help you.

Let me know.

Whule driving on the road at around 25-30 mph, the truck started to loose power and when pressing on the gas pedal, it won't rev up. So I pulled on the side and put in neutral, and reved up, and it went fine, but when I putted it gear, it wouldn't want to go, so I stop the engine, waited a few seconds, started it back again, and it went fine for the first few feet, then it starting to struggle with the gas again. Also there's a noise that sounds like something hitting the floor of the cab. I'v allready changed all the electrical parts of the engine ( distibutor cap, rotor, wires, sparkplugs and the engine coil). It was fine for a few months, but it started to do it again. And now the "check engine" lights up.
