Engine Cooling problem
1992 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

we have replaced our water pump and thermostat in the truck and it runs fine. As long as it is higher than 35 degrees outside. When it gets cold it overheats within 15 minutes of starting. We are looking for any possable solution.

What are the symptoms? Does the temperature gauge indicate "hot"? Is the air temperature from the heater too hot or cool? In that 15 minutes you mentioned, are you driving on the highway or standing still? Do you see bubbling in the overflow reservoir, and if so, is there steam too or is the coolant cool? Do you have a 50 / 50 mix of water and antifreeze?
