I was driving in a heavy rain this morning and through a lot of puddles. While driving, the ABS light on the dashboard lit up and remained lit until I got to work. The brakes still worked, I tested them, and had no other problem driving. Why did the light go on and what do I need to do?

The purpose of the antilock brake system is to prevent wheel lockup under braking conditions on virtually any type of road surface.
Antilock braking is desirable because a vehicle that is stopped without locking the wheels retains directional stability and some steering capability. This allows the driver to retain greater control of the vehicle during braking.

Have to check for codes
