I was pulling into a parking and when I went to shut off the car it started to crank over on it own so I took out the keys put them back in and tryed starting it now it wont crank at all I was told it could because the starter is loss of a faulty wire on the starter or igitition switch I really need an answer that gives me a solid answer seeing as im kinda stuck in toronto till I a can figure it any help is greatly appreciated

Symptom indicates a faulty ignition switch. Hope the self cranking was not too long, it could damage the starter if not stopped in time.
