Just recently, I have started hearing a low roar when car is first being accelerated and until I reach about 50 mph and then it seems to go away. Motor and water pump were replaced 5,000 miles ago and no trouble lights have appeared. No trouble shifting gears or with the acceleration.

Any ideas what this could be?

Hi:
It sounds like there could be a bearing problem in the self adjuster or the alt. Can you hear it at an idle? If so, remove the serp belt and start the car to see if it stops. If it does, it is one of the belt driven items. NOTE: DO NOT ALLOW THE ENGINE TO RUN MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS. THERE WILL BE NO COOLANT CIRCULATION AND IT COULD CAUSE ENGINE DAMAGE.
