I have a 2001 chrysler sebring lx. It was running fine until this morning when I started it, it would shut off. It did that several times, along with white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. Do you think this is bad gas or something major?

White exhaust smoke is typical of a leaking head gasket. A cylinder leakage test will prove this. Another test that can verify this is a "sniffer" test at the radiator cap or overflow reservoir. Dark blue liquid in the tester will turn bright yellow if combustion gases are present in the cooling system.
