2000 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles
Our car started making and knocking noise in the steering when turned sharply. This only happens when car is warm and has ran for quite a while. Once it starts it continues - even when not turning - IE: when setting at a stop light - there is a knocking noise. If you move steering wheel a little it may stop or get worse. In addition - when driving slow - like in parking lot - pulling in and out of spots and in and out of drive way - it is very hard to turn. We replaced the power steering pump and thought the problem was fixed. However after picking it up and driving for more than 2 hours - it started doing it again. Can you help? Does it need a new rack?
