Where do you go to install the the replacement kit for the third brake light in the back window of the Chrysler 300? I have the replacement, but the diagram does not show where you go to remove the piece and install the new part. It only shows how to connect it. Do you go in through the trunk, or remove the back seat, I need help, please advise.

It could be one of two ways. If your brake light is inside the rear window, you will either need to replace it through the trunk (laying in your back in the trynk) or there will be round plastic popoff covers on the sides of the light in the car. If they are in the car, carefully remove the round (maybe 1/2" in dia) plastic cover and exposing the screws that hold the unit in place. If access is made through the trunk, the easiest thing to do is lay in it with your head facing the rear seat. Then you'll have access to the bulb socket.

LEt me know if this helps or if you have other questions, and thanks for using 2carpros. Com.

Go in the trunk and look up where the light is and they should turn out and down. then pull the light out to replace it. Here are diagrams and instructions below.

At the very top of your brake peddle, where it hinges to the firewall/dash panel, there's a brake light switch. Sometimes they get stuck. This could either be a malfunction or it can be clogged up with dirt/mud.

You can crawl under the dash and release it with your hand. If this doesn't work, you'll need to replace it.
