Does it happen worse when the van is warmer? If so the transmission pressure control solenoid is bad. I did a tune up which fixed my problem.

I am having trouble with this site. I ask a question 2 days ago and got a short answer which I answered the questions and have not gotten a response. Help me with what I need to do next. I was asked if the coil and module were checked.

You should not be starting a new question because that's like starting a whole new conversation in a bar with different people. Once your first question was answered it goes off the list for others to see and respond to. That prevents a lot of people from giving you all kinds of different advice that makes your head spin, which is how most other forums work. Here, one person will stick with you until a solution is found.

By starting a new post we don't know the problem you're having, the engine size, observations, hints and clues, what you've tried so far and the test results, or why the reference to those parts was made. Donations are greatly appreciated but most of the experts here will put just as much effort into helping you if you don't make a donation. There are other things that can happen though. I was recently gone to a car show swap meet for five days, and just before that I was nursing a kidney stone for five days including numerous trips to the hospital. Due to the pain I really didn't care about turning on the computer. Stuff like that can happen so thank you for not being angry about the lack of a response. Sometimes we miss the automated e-mails directing us back to your post when you make a reply so the first thing you should do is post another reply on your original thread. If you can't find the e-mail message with the link to that thread, look in the section where questions are listed by manufacturer and model. I think those are in order by date so you shouldn't have to scroll far to find yours.

If you still get no response, you can send a help request to the site owners and they will contact the expert who originally answered your question. The site owners are very helpful and easy to work with. If you run into problems, let me know and I'll contact them on your behalf. They will also get another expert involved if necessary and they'll send them the link to your question.

Initially the problem was no power when you accelerated, especially if you push it hard. Misfires are the problem. So I bought a code reader. Says O2 sensors are bad, replaced them. No better. So in the last few months I have replaced the following: Plugs and wires, Cat. Converter, fuel pump assembly in the tank, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, and last but not least the PCM. Nothing has made a difference. I have been to 3 different shops and had many "opionions" but it is as bad as ever. What do you think could be the cause?

Codes never identify bad parts just failed systems.

Did anyone check the coil and module? Did anyone do a compression test?

ASEMaster6371 I hope you get this response I think just like you asked, the coil could be the whole problem. What is the module you are referring to, I am not that familiar. In looking at parts for this car I see there are One coil for each 2 cyl. Is that right? How do you test for bad coil or coils? Thanks

Hello, how long since a tune-up, any codes? If only one cylinder has a problem, the misfire code might point you to the correct cylinder? I don't usually get that lucky, you got to start somewhere.

Code p0300
I have been working on this for three years. I have tested coils 5.75 ohms on secondary and 1 ohms on primary coils. I have new plugs and wires. New intake gaskets, IAC, TPS, AIC. Map is good. Vacuum holding at 25 psi. Timing light shows cylinders one and five random misfiring. It also has a new cam sensor. Could a bad knock sensor be causing this. I tapped on the engine and no change in rpm's. Can you help thanks.

Best thing here is to have a mechanic look at it he can freeze frame to see if a sensor is bad as they can cause the problem as well as injectors or a basic engine problem. These are very hard to find and having a mechanic do it actually will save money because you are not spending on parts that are probably good.

1997 3.4 Chevy Venture, with 118,000 miles. Recently replaced head and intake gaskets, plugs and wires. Engine starts and runs fine when cold. As soon as the engine warms up, a severe hesitation/ miss develops. Engine doesn't throw a code. Should the coils be replaced when the plug and wires were replaced?

You need a break out box. Check the CPS and ICM before you get to the PCM. Inspect for damages/loose connectors.
