Engine Performance problem
1994 Chevy Truck 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles

Recently after presure washing the motor on my truck I developed a ver high idle. Before that everything was fine with it. I, ve spread all alround the throttle body and vacuam hoses and never got a change in the idle speed. This is my only mode of transportation and, when I put it in gear with the idle so high it feels like the transmission is going to jerk out. Please help ! Thanks again Donovan Jordan

Look for water in the connectors on the Throttle Body unit. Especially the square 4 wire connector on the Idle Speed Motor.
