Steering wheel Horn does not work, however, the horn still sounds when activating the alarm. The fuse is fine. Is there a quick fix for this?

I would check to make sure the horn button is still good, tap hte two wires from the horn button together, you get a horn repsonse? If so button is bad.

If not check your relay.

Our horn has stopped working. I can not find anything in the manuel about how to fix the horn. The diagram for the fuse box doesn't mention a fuse for the horn. How do I fix the horn?

I also had this happen on my Silverado-too much aggressive horn use! If you have power at the horn when it is applied it may be that one or more of the the four contact tabs underneath the pad got pushed in too far over time. Try pressing on each of the four corners individually to see if the horn works-if one corner makes contact it will honk and this could be your problem too. The Haynes manual for Silverados has instructions on how to remove the pad-if you try this yourself make sure that you follow the airbag deactivation procedure carefully. Once the pad is off you can gently bend the contacts back out a bit and the horn will work.

I have a 1988 chevy truck, previous owner states tail lights were working then just stopped, I have looked and it seems the circuit board, at least on driver side has been changed and bulbs look new, have not pulled pass side yet, does brake lights and tail lights run on same fuse? What color wire is the power wire at the rear harness, is there a common issue in these trucks?
#2 horn inop? Gonna try fuse and relay first, where is relay located and fuse location, where is the horn located on truck, and im guessing a green wire? Thanks for your time and replies, have a great day.

The ground is black and is usually found on lh rear of frame. First reply said where horn relay is. The ground is bad if you hit brakes and wrong light comes on.

I recently bought a 1988 chevy scottsdale (k1500) and it has an aftermarket air horn on it. That doesnt work, so I thought. I went out and bought a normal horn from o'reileys and put it on. But it also didnt work so I came to the conclusion that whoever put the air horn on messed up on the wiring somehow.

I am looking for a detailed wiring diagram or instructions on how to rewire the horn for this truck. I have a chilton's book but in this case it is not much help because the wiring diagram in it is for 88-96 chevy trucks in general

That was all I could find, probably the same as yours. You can check for voltage at the fuse. You can honk the horn from the relay, for testing. The black wire that goes into the steering column is just a ground for the relay, that is usually where the problem is located. If you find the wire before it goes into the column, splice in a redundant wire, for testing, the horn should honk, everytime you ground the circuit.
