Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Chevy Tracker 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
I was doing 65 down the highway and all of a sudden the car lerched slightly and then started slowing down. Pushing on the gas did nothing. I depressed the clutch pedal and then pushed the gas and my rpm's did not move - stayed 0 but the car was still running. I drifted to the side of the road and stopped the vehicle - still running and still no response on the RPM's. If I tried to take off it would try to stall as if I wasn't pushing on the gas at all. Shut car off and now will not start. The alternator was replaced in march. Voltage on battery reads 12.58 - I'm told is normal for my battery. Strangest part of the situation - my sister's Saturn did the same exact thing 2 hours later.
have the same problem?
