Does my vehicle have an air cabin filter? As I could not find it and I bought one from watching your video which stated it did have one.
Do you
have the same problem?

Basically GM changed it somewhere in that year range. It is pretty tough to tell when they did it because we come across those trucks all the time and some of them have ACF and some do not. So if it was not where it was in the video yours does not have an ACF.

Your vehicle is not equipped with a cabin air filter unless an aftermarket filter was installed.

I have removed the kick plate held by the 3 screws and there is no visible filters. All that is visible is solid molded black plastic. There are no openings and no other screws to remove. How do I change the filters on my 03 Tahoe?

If you have one it will be under the hood near the cowl. Have you checked there?

His Article has been updated by bulletin #PIT3330, dated December 22, 2004.

Condition/Concern:
A customer may inquire about the availability of the passenger compartment air filter.

Recommendation/Instructions:
Starting in 2003 model year, the passenger compartment air filter is no longer available as a factory option. With the redesigned HVAC case, there is no longer a cavity for the filter. The GM parts catalog indicates there is a replacement filter available; however, there is no provision for it.

You need to access it from the passenger area of the dash. IF you open the glove and press in on the left you can pull the glove comparment away to access the tab the arrow is pointing at, release it.

Under the dash there will be 4 screws that hol a panel up. remove and lower the panel. The tab you released has a small bolt in it toward the back, remove it and lower that piece (#1 on 1st drawing) that the tab is attached to. Pull down on the filter and put the new one in. reassemble
