Oil guage

I have a 1995 chevy Suburban with 134,000 miles with a 454 engine. When the engine is running the oil guage will jump from 0 to 80 or higher or it will bunce arond alot. What would be the fix for this and is it somethnig I need to worry about

I would start by replacing the oil sending unit. More than likely that is were the problem lies.
