1998 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles
A friend of mine has a suburban which emits a whine when the accelerator is released at higher speeds.
I drove the truck to 50 mph and released the pedal. A high pitched whine was audible. As the speed decreases, so does the pitch of the whine. It is audible until the trucks speed drops to about 20 mph.
I don't believe it's the tires since I can hear the tires
noise and it is of a different pitch.
The pitch does not undulate but increases or decreases with the vehicle speed. There is no vibration either.
The vehicle also shifts smoothly between all gears.
I was told all fluids were recently checked and they are all O.K. Although I haven't had a chance to check them myself.
have the same problem?
