OK, so know that I have the clutch re-placed, the power steering is giving me trouble. 93 Chevy Silverado 1500, 5.7l 4x4, ext cab. I replaced the power steering pump and the new one seized up in no time, I replaced the pump again, both lines (supply & return), the new pump seems to work just fine but I get no power steering. If I remove the return line when it's pumping, there is massive amounts of pressure. I put it back on and no pumping or steering. Could the first pump have lodged something in the steering gear? Why would I get pressure when ithe return is off but not when I put it back on? If I open the steering gear, what are the dangers or should I just replace it?
