I have a 2003 Silverado 5.3L 4x4 with 76000 miles. After having a dead battery, I am having problems with the idle speed being too low. It will stall going through slow turns and after coming to a stop. RPM's are only at about 275-300 or even lower. Is there a way the computer will " relearn" the correct idle speed? Will a scan tool be required instead? Other than the low idle speed, it runs well with no fuel smell or missing.

Try this

Star engine and idle for 15secs-the shut it off wait another 15secs. Restart engine and check for proper idle.

Or you can take out the IACV and clean it and see what happens.
