Air Conditioning problem
2003 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
Recently replaced the battery.
Dual auto climate control.
On initiall start, air blow out ac vents when ac is selected to vents. Then there is a clicking sound and air blows out defrost. Able to divert flow to the floor but not out the ac vents. The servo motor (don't know the actual name of the component) under the dash on the drivers side, appears to be making the clicling as it tries to drive the vent valve beyond its limit.
The servo motor is working, but it appears to be getting a signal to go to defrost instead of ac vents.
Is there a way to troubleshoot?
Are there limit swiches to stop motor at end of travel or is this function built into servo motor itself. Should I replace the servo motor?
