2003 Chevy Silverado

The stock aluminum rims on my 03' silverado hd are oxidizing. There is some sort of chrome coating on them that is pealing off and it looks like rust on the rims. Is there anyway to clean this off and stop it from spreading? Can the rims be repaired/recoated for a reasonable cost?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi there,

if you want them as new, you will have to get them sandblasted and power coated, but this will not be cheap, cheapest thing would be to get good second hand rims, there is no quick fix for this.
