Engine quit at stop light with no apparent reason. While replacing fuel filter. With fuel filter removed. Cycled ignition key a few times. No fuel from pump. Took 16oz ball-peen hammer and thummped on bottom of fuel tank 10-15 times. Cycled ignition key again. Fuel pump now pumping fuel. Installed new fuel filter and connected lines. Have driven 200 miles with no issues. Shall I keep running the truck w/ my hammer under the seat or replace the fuel pump. Recommend factory pump or after-market which requires wire splices to the factory harness. Factory pump is about 125 more than after- market.
