Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 105000 miles

I am having a problem starting my Chevy when it sits for 8hrs or so. When I go out in the morning to start the truck or after its been sitting all day at work, it will not start right away. Turns over just fine, then turns over fast, like its trying to start. (Sounds like a fuel problem to me) If I turn the key to ON and let sit for 3-5 seconds then start the truck it starts just fine. ( I can hear the fuel pump kick on) So, that in mind, loss of fuel pressure when sitting all day. I have good throttle response, and runs just fine. Leads me away from the fuel pump, but not sure. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator, and symptoms don't change. Also have about 5000 miles on the fuel filter.

Thanks for your time.

Check fuel pump for both pressure and volume.
