2000 Chevy Silverado smoke
2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO
I have smoke coming from my vents. It smells like oil and is constant whether I have the vents on or not. Could this be a bad heater coil?
have the same problem?

Is it smoke or steam?
Does it smell like burning oil or antifreeze?
Any wet spots on the carpet?
Hows the heat from the vents? Loss of antifreeze?

Deff. Oily and there was, according to my son (18) anti freze leaking on the floor board.

Sounds like you have a bad heater core to me. If there was antifreeze on the floor and the vapor coming out of the vents is oily and has a antifreeze smell, or taste to it.
