Electrical problem
2000 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 170000 miles

HELLO, I HAVE A 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 4X4, EVERY TIME I FILL THE TANK, THE GAS GAUGE ALWAYS GOES TO EMPTY. I'VE QUICKLY LEARNED IF I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND PRESS ON THE GAS, THEN PUT IT BACK IN PARK, IT WILL IMMEDIATELY GO TO FULL. BUT THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE, ITS CONSTANTLY DOING IT NOW WHEN IM GOING DOWN THE HIGH WAY, SO THE WHOLE TIME ITS DOING THIS THE LOW FUEL LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF. I READ SOMEWHERE IT MIGHT BE THE SENDER UNIT. ANY THOUGHTS ON HOW I CAN TAKE CARE OF THIS ANNOYING PROBLEM?
