Hello, We were off this weekend camping and got within 20 minutes of home heading up hill on the highway and our Chevy just stopped accelerating/working. We were able to coast her to the shoulder, but from there you would try to start and nothing. We had to have her towed home as un-plugging the battery to re-set computer did not work. After getting home we rented a scanner tool to try and pull codes and see what is wrong, but again nothing, not registering/no codes. We don't know what could possibly be wrong, truck seemed fine, no warning signs just a big flat breakdown. Please help!

Many things can happen that do not set a code. Will the engine crank over but not start? How is the fuel supply? Is the fuel pump working and at the right pressure? Any blown fuses to any of the control modules? How about the wiring, all tight connections and no burned wires. Do you have spark at the plugs? How about compression, maybe the timing chain went out.
