Engine Cooling problem
1996 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 267033 miles

I HAVE TAKEN OFF THE WATER PUMP. BUT HOW DO I TAKE OFF THE FAN CLUTCH FROM THE WATER PUMP ITSELF? I HAVE TRIED A CHISEL AND HAMMER TO TRY TO LOOSEN IT UP. BUT I'M AFRAID I MIGHT DAMAGE THE FAN CLUTCH. AND I HAVE AIR TOOLS. I JUST HAVEN'T WORKED ON AUTOS VEHICLES IN A WHILE. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE I DON'T DO ANY DAMAGE

It always worked better for me if I took it loose while still on the engine and with the belt in place to keep the water pump shaft from turning. Then removing the pump from the engine.
Install in the reverse order.
