My son has a 1989 S-10 pich-up with a 2.5 in it. Has approx 150 K miles. Died while driving the other day. Strong smell of gas. Found after pulling it home that huge amounts of gas go thru the single point injector while starting, pooling on the throttle plate. Have about 10-11 volts on the injector when starting. I awould assume that is a reading I would get when wide open. My guess is something (TPS?) Is sending the wrong signal. It had been idling erratically that day. Any help to give a guy? Thanks
