The most recent problem with my S10 is the rear passenger side brake light will go off when the brake is engaged. The taillight works normally until the brake is pressed. The other side is working normally. I changed the bulb but to no avail. This is my weak area in cars. I'm ready to listen, thanks!

Welcome to the forum, possible issue with multifunction switch. Does the right turn signal work? If so, check right turn fuse in under hood fuse box, for voltage, with turn switch in neutral position, brake depressed. The voltage for lower right brake lite comes through that fuse, according to my info. Your turn and brake lites use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. Use a test lite on the fuse circuit.
